Elevations Introduces Personalized Diet Program

The problem with many diets is that they deprive the body of nutritional needs.
You can go only so long without carbohydrates, fats or proteins, and how much of each is needed varies from person to person.
But you can take a better route to the same goal. Elevations Personal Training in New City has started a nutrition program that is tailored to individuals and their lifestyles.
Customized Nutrition Design “is customized for their lifestyle, based on the food they presently like to eat, what their goals are, their exercise regiment,” nutrition counselor Elyse Kleinman said. “It can be for an elite athlete to a sedentary person, and it will work for everyone.”
Participants have their body fat assessed and measurements taken and describe their lifestyles, from how active they are to what they like to eat and drink.
Kleinman takes all of that into consideration and designs eating plans that deliver the correct amounts of calories, proteins, fats and carbohydrates for each person. She even creates “weekend menus” to account for indulgences.
Clients are asked to keep journals documenting what they ate, and meet with eating coach Kleinman weekly to discuss their progress (or lack of.)
“Accountability is really important,” she said. “It’s easy to let things slip if you’re the only one who knows you’re trying to lose weight.”
People don’t have to be receiving personal training at Elevations to join the program. Spring is coming, Kleinman said, and it’s a good time to start thinking about the condition of that body that you are going to be exposing more.
“You have to be ready to do it,” Kleinman said, “but when people lose weight and they walk out of here with smiles, it’s a great feeling.”
